Carpet

Did you know that the art of carpeting was developed in Central Asia thousands of years ago? However, the carpet industry wasn't introduced to the United States until 1791 in Philadelphia. Wall-to-wall carpeting that we know today didn't come into style until the 1900s. Around the 1950s, carpet fiber technologies began to advance which let to the boom in carpet in residential homes. Today, you can see the evolution of carpet style and material in our homes and businesses.

Preparing for Installation

  • Make sure installation area is clear of any furniture and/or breakable items.

  • Make sure someone is home the day of installation in case your installers have any questions.
  • Make sure that the material being installed is what you purchased.
    • Insure that color and style is correct.
  • Please keep children and pets out of the installation area for their own safety.
  • Do a walk through before installation is complete to have any questions you may have answered.
    • Remember installation process can vary depending on the type of carpet you choose. 
  • The installer will clean the area once installation is complete.

  • Maintenance on your carpet will be based on the type of fiber of your carpet.
  • Be sure to check the brands' website for specific details on after care for your carpet.
