Laminate

 Laminate flooring emerged in the late 1970s as an affordable alternative to natural materials. Initially developed in Sweden, it gained popularity due to its durability, easy maintenance, and cost-effectiveness. By the 1980s, technological advancements improved its appearance, mimicking the look of hardwood, stone, or tile. Laminate flooring consists of multiple layers fused together through lamination, typically including a fiberboard core and a wear layer. Its resilience against scratches, stains, and fading made it a preferred choice for high-traffic areas. Over time, innovations led to enhanced designs and installation methods, solidifying laminate flooring as a practical and aesthetically pleasing flooring option globally.

Preparing for Installation

  • Make sure installation area is clear of any furniture and/or breakable items. 

Installation

  • Make sure someone is home the day of installation in case your installers have any questions.
  • Make sure that the material being installed is what you purchased.
    • Insure that color and style is correct.
  • Please keep children and pets out of the installation area for their own safety.
  • Do a walk through before installation is complete to have any questions you may have answered.
    • Remember installation process can vary depending on the type of carpet you choose. 
  • The installer will clean the area once installation is complete.

Maintenance

  • Vacuuming occasionally
  • Wiping with a dust mop
  • Sweeping with a soft bristle broom
  • Mopping with warm water and mild detergent
    • Make sure your mop is damp and not soaked.
